Even though you’re only 3 and have flawless skin, there will be a time when you will have to start taking care of your skin with more than just soap and water. It is better to start early and to start healthy habits. This information will probably not be useful to you until you hit high school. Hopefully, I will still be around to tell you these tips in person.
First of all, you have to take care of yourself by eating right, exercising regularly, getting plenty of rest, and having a stress-free life. The focus here is on the latter.
Stress is the cause of many health problems and it will show in your face and your body. When I was in high school I seemed to have many challenges. The lack of money always seemed to be the root cause. I needed money to buy clothes and to live the lifestyle I thought I wanted to have. On top of that, I was struggling to find my identity. It wasn’t easy and it was stressful being a teen with ranging hormones with an identity crisis.
I broke out in pimples regularly and when I was stressed out I would break out in hives. It wasn’t pretty, but again, it wasn’t as bad as it could have been. I kept my skin problems under control by washing my face regularly and having a bottle of Caladryl close at hand.
It wasn’t until I moved out of the house, went to college, and started to make money that my skin problems started to show improvement. Since I was making money I was able to sustain my face regimen. I started with the Clinique Men’s line and kept that for several years. After awhile I guess my face go used to the regimen so I decided to change lines to Lab Series then to Zirh. Now that I’m ‘older’ I actually use a combination of all three products. Of course you will have to find what works best for you.
The second thing is, do not start using products too young and do not use too much of it. You could age prematurely. I remember when I was about 17 years old I tried Noxima Deep Cleansing Cream. After two days of using this cleanser, my skin started to crack. It was weird and scary. Back then I experimented with whatever I thought might work best. Now, you have the internet to do online searches and you can find a lot of reviews about products before you buy them.
I am no expert in the field, so take what you see here as additional information to consider when taking care of your skin, especially your face. This is one of those things where I would say, do as I say and not as I do. Again, the important thing I want to emphasize here is try to have a stress-free life as possible and everything else will follow. You’ll have healthy skin and most importantly a healthy attitude about life in general. As Grandma used to say, ‘take care of yourself.
