Gold Rush Days in Old Sac

This Labor Day weekend the Gold Rush Days hit Old Sacramento.  We decided to check it out since we had nothing better to do on this hot dusty day.  Out of the  8 years we’ve lived in Sacramento, this was the first time we’ve seen this annual event.

It was great how they transformed the cobble stone streets into an old western town.  Everyone dressed in costume and great fun for all ages.  They had booths were you could learn about old crafts, walking tours of the town, and even pretend gambling.  We even discovered shops and restaurants we’ve never seen until yesterday.

Justice and Jasmine had a good time walking around and observing all the different activities.  However, Justice wanted to roam on his own because there was just too many things to touch and see.  Jasmine was asleep when we go there so she was groggy throughout our stay.

At least for next year we’ll know what to expect.
